Cobalt Blue Wedgwood Jasperware Bowl circa 1920 or possibly even earlier . It has a glazed interior and a silver plated rim- The silver has been polished away over the years and left the brass base metal exposed , which I love, there are dainty little scroll handles either side. beneath the metal edge is a little discolouration on the blue ceramic in places, I'm guessing it is metal polish residue - this is not that noticeable but stated for full description( see photograph) . The Bowl is decorated with a continuous band of men and horses in relief, the classic wedgwood white ceramic on colour. It does not bare the wedgwood stamp but is clearly a quality piece of considerable age. Pleasingly weighty. This would make A very grand and decorative fruit bowl.
