A 1980s Snakeskin( python) on mesh draw string cross body bag. with original dust bag. This is an incredible piece in very good vintage condition. Colourful patches of snake skin sewn onto a black mesh with snake skin drawstring closure and snakeskin strap ( not adjustable) The strap is long so the bag hangs past hip. Leather lined interiors and sides. A truly unique item. By a truly unique designer. An investment for the collector of designer bags. Made in Italy

Andrea Pfister was born in Pesaro, Italy in 1942. He studied art and languages. In 1961, he took a course in shoe design in Milan. Pfister has always been a couturier - a fashion designer who manufactures and sells clothes that have been tailored to a client's specific requirements and measurements ; he began his career at the top with Lanvin and Jean Patou at the age of 21.
Pfister showed his first collection of shoes in 1965, and in 1967 opened his first shoe shop.
Like all original designers, his ideas were plundered by others. Snakeskin, a favorite material, was used in multicolored patches over white kidskin on a court shoe called Mosaique. This style, from the early 1980s, is instantly recognizable because it has been copied more than any other shoes in the world. A favourite designer for those in the know
