Original habitat Crayonne mirror. Made by Crayonne, constructed out of quality plastic. Crayonne, was sold through the iconic british home store Habitat from the early 70s onwards. Once owned by seminal plastics manufacturer Airfix, Crayonne became a major name in domestic plastics, and used the material beautifully, completely contradicting any sense of it being a 'cheap' material. This has weight and strength and bold colour. The deep moulding on this trademark orangy-red frame is perfect, as is the silvering on the mirror, edge to edge. Measuring 51cm square, 4cm deep mirror, in fantastic condition, and the colour is even and bright. A truly stylish piece of 1970s design, as fresh and modern as it was 50 years ago. It can be hung straight or on the diagonal
