A vintage Wood's Ware 'Beryl' 2 pint Jug ( 11cm tall x 11.5cm diameter) circa the late 1940s / early 1950s. In great vintage condition , no chips , cracks or crazing.
a great example of British Utility ware - manufactured during the austerity years post World War , characterised by its use of simple forms and and delicate pastel hues in a range of pretty 'ice-cream' colours - pale blue, pink, green and yellow. A seen in the film the 'King's Speech' . A great size jug for gravy or custard at the table
