A stunning studio pottery earthen wear large bowl made by The Porthleven studio. The interior of the bowl is glazed in an olive green with hints of purple blended in. the outer walls of the bowl are decorated with celtic looking medallions and etched out decorative patterns, unglazed finish the rim is also decorated with etched in markings. Large enough to hold a table salad or use as a fruit bowl. This is a rare find for a studio with a small output that has ceased to produce it artisanal pottery
Graham Fern set up his pottery in the small seaside town of Porthleven near Helston in Cornwall UK. The pottery was very short lived .Started in the 70s ran through to the early 80s and closed in the mid late 80s. They closed the pottery when they moved to New Zealand .
