A beautiful Pair of modernist ceramic candle holders made by Prinknash pottery. Founded in 1942 by the monks at Prinknash abbey when they found a seam of clay during some building work. Their work is typically red earthenware, often with a metallic glaze.
The ceramic resembles pewter. This will look beautiful on the dining table or mantel piece.
The Benedictine monks continued to make pottery at the abbey in Grantham, Gloucestershire until 1997 when the pottery was sold to the Welsh Porcelain Co.
They look stunning with our beeswax candles, which can be found in our supplies and utility department.
