A set of vintage Dufex foil prints by the twin illustrators Janet and Anne Grahame Johnstone. The prints feature whimsical, fairy-tale-like scenes rendered in a striking blue monochrome palette on reflective foil.
Dufex prints ( distinctive blue coloring and reflective quality , which creates a shimmering, holographic effect) were made by a company in England and were designed to change appearance slightly depending on the viewing angle and lighting.
The original illustrations were used in various children's books in the late 1970s.
