This is a really special and rare Treasure from my own private collection .There is nothing else like it out there on the web I can compare it to. Its a set of 6 hand painted tiles depicting famous and iconic scenes of London featuring tower bridge, A Queens gaurd horseman, big ben, eros picadilly circus, St pauls Cathedral and a scene of the river Thames looking over to the houses of parliment. I had the tiles professionally framed in a simple wooden box frame painted matt white with no glazing. Ready to hang. The tiles have crackled glaze, known as crazing, which is a common characteristic of vintage or antique earthenware tiles. The artwork is hand-painted with a charming, illustrative style circa 1930s/1940s . It measures 18 cm wide x 94 cm tall x 2.5 cm deep.
