This object is a kero, a traditional Andean drinking vessel often used for ceremonial libations, particularly toasting with chicha (fermented corn beer).Historically made of wood. The handpainted decoration on this piece depicts stylized human figures in Andean attire, a common style that persisted from the Inca period into the colonial era.
Also known as kero, quero, qero. It's very difficult to pinpoint the actual age of this pieces, they can go all the way back to the 16th century, suffice to say this one looks antique. The condition is consistent with age, but overall, in great shape with no cracks in the wood.colours still bright and pictures clear. A very intersesting pieces .
