This spectacular necklace is made up of 26 strands , alternating smooth and bobble snake chains( see pictures). It has a sterling silver stamp (925) but is plated in gold( this is not indicated on the hall marks) its made in London ( leopard stamp ) but I cannot identify the maker (MD stamp). It is a quality made piece with a rather elaborate clasp system ( slides and locks on both ends - see pictures again) it has a good weight to it and will certainly turn heads. Supplied in what I assume is the original box, meaning it was bought from Harrods, one of London's most famous luxury department stores. I think it is from the 1970s but again no stamp to indicate date of manufacture . This is a really special piece and will make who ever receives it very happy. The longest strand , when necklace is laid flat measures 32cm while the shortest strand measures 19 cm
